Tesla recalled nearly 4,000 of its new Cybertruck due to the potential for the accelerator pedal to dislodge and pose risk of crashing.

A recall notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website indicates that the pedal pad could come loose, resulting in the pedal being trapped by the interior rim.

A potential 3,878 trucks are included in the recall.

The global electric-vehicle market leader will replace or repair the pedal assembly free of charge. It’s scheduled to mail recall notices to effected owners in June.
